Susy Davies
Susy primarily trained in sports massage therapy and uses these deep tissue massage and trigger point techniques to reduce pain and tension for her clients whether they are keen athletes, have postural imbalances or perhaps spend a lot of time sitting at a desk. Part of Susy's training has focused on myofascial release whereby a slower, firm pressure is sustained on an area to release the more superficial layers of muscle and fascia which give way and allow the deeper muscles to be stimulated and become more pliable.
Susy is a keen runner and understands how important keeping fit and healthy is, and how frustrating it is when pain stops you from doing what you love. It was from dealing with her own running injuries that she was introduced to the world of massage therapy and the amazing effect it can have on your wellbeing. Understanding that everything in our bodies is connected and that tissue dysfunction has a knock-on effect to other areas of the body is key in putting together a plan for treatment. Massage is a very personal experience and Susy ensures she works with her clients to identify which areas need attention and how the issues will be addressed. Throughout her treatments she checks that what she is doing is comfortable and appropriate, continuously adjusting pressure and techniques, to provide the best outcome for her clients.
